Frequently asked questions

A little clarity before you bid.

For guests, owners and property managers.

What is BidStay?

BidStay lets property teams invite bids for selected stays. The manager sets the dates, minimum bid and bidding window. Guests can explore an offer while the property team keeps control of the final booking.

Is the homepage demo a real auction?

No. The homepage uses sample listings, prices and simulated bidders. It does not make a reservation, collect payment or place a card hold. Actual campaigns have their own property team and campaign details.

Does a bid secure my stay?

No. You may be outbid or the dates may be booked directly. Even the highest final bid needs availability checks and confirmation from the property team. Do not arrange non-refundable travel based on a bid alone.

When does the bidding window start?

The first valid bid starts the campaign’s configured window. A manager can set a short last-minute window or a longer early-booking window, such as 30 days. The campaign’s latest closing date limits that window. The displayed deadline is the one to follow.

Is the amount per night or for my whole stay?

Your campaign bid is the total in THB for the dates shown. The nightly equivalent helps you compare, but the whole-stay amount is your submitted bid. Check the campaign description for inclusions and any extra costs before proceeding.

How much could I save?

A meaningful comparison needs the same property, dates, guests, inclusions, fees and cancellation terms. Current campaign direct asking prices are estimates subject to confirmation. They are not a verified booking-engine quote or a guaranteed saving.

Can I book normally instead?

Yes, you can ask the property team for a direct booking rather than wait for bidding. The current Buy Now panel explains that option; it is not an integrated checkout. Your booking is secured only after the provider confirms it and you meet its payment requirements.

Will I be charged when I bid?

The current BidStay bid form takes no payment and creates no card hold. Contact-sharing consent is not authorization to charge a card. Any future payment flow must show the amount, payment timing and booking terms and obtain your agreement before use.

Are promotional stays non-refundable?

A promotion may have non-refundable terms, but the confirmed provider’s booking policy determines what applies. Bidding alone does not activate a cancellation fee or a non-refundable payment. Review and accept the specific terms before paying.

How does HostPilot Pro connect?

An authorized company user links a scoped API key. BidStay can check the properties and availability that the company allows. Linking does not give unrestricted access to every property or automatically create bookings.

Can I put BidStay on my own website or newsletter?

A published campaign can provide a website embed and a shareable link. Newsletters should link to the campaign because most email clients do not support interactive forms reliably. Your own audience can discover the offer directly.

Who handles my bid and personal details?

The property team named on the campaign receives your bid and contact details for follow-up. BidStay provides the software. Read the privacy notice for information about accounts, submissions and security services.
